Api Husien (1989–) is an interdisciplinary artist. He uses his writing, performances, and lens to connect with the world and people, question them, and start conversations. His passion for the arts and literature has inspired his work and life.
Api's work has appeared in various poetry anthologies, including his most recent, Avenoir, which explores life, death, and the complexities in between. He also creates self-published zines (from A to Z) for himself and the community.
As a performer, he draws inspiration from nature and people's lives, films, butoh, and music. The way he moves and acts speaks volumes, as does his writing.
Api has always had an aptitude for photography. His perspectives frequently depict the simplicity of existence that we often take for granted. He published his first photo book, Mencari Rumah Untuk Pulang, which combined photography, poetry, and performance art.
Being a multifaceted artist entails being an artisan crafter. His expertise may be useful in bookcrafting, printing, and graphic design.
