Dominggas Nari “Donna”
Ms. Dominggas Nari is a Papuan Indonesian Gender Based Violence Expert. She has over 20 years experience working to reduce violence against women through development programs, academic, and activist. With the issue of gender-based violence, are involved in the campaign for women's rights at the grassroots level, building women's awareness of their rights. For advocacy to government, to document cases of violence, in addition to cooperating with groups of women from the NGO and government campaigns for women's rights in public spaces.
She also work for empowering and strengthening Papuan indigenous people, start with Indigenous People Protector Networking Indonesia (Japhama) since 1998, continuous with Konsorsium Pembela Masyarakat Adat. Now her a member of Pt PPMA Papua board.
Attending the conferences and seminars at home and abroad to talk about violence against women in Papua and the problems faced by women.
Ms. Nari earned her MA in Applied Anthropology from the University of Indonesia and her BA in Political Science from Cenderwasih University. She is fluent in English, Bahasa, Indonesia, and mother language bahasa Ormu.
