Sherry Quiambao is an Australian multidisciplinary artist of Filipina heritage, currently participating in the BREEZE Perth to Makassar residency through PICA. Through photography, sculpture, and video installation, her work invites viewers to reflect on how possessions shape self-image, societal status, and our sense of belonging. Often exploring themes such as identity, cultural connection, and the impact of consumerism, Sherry uses objects, gestures, and currently water as metaphors to explore personal and collective histories. By re-contextualising everyday elements, she seeks to spark conversations around culture, memory, and identity.
Sherry holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sculpture from Curtin University and has completed postgraduate studies in heritage studies and secondary education. Her work has been exhibited in galleries across Australia, in the Philippines, and the United States.
