Sekar Banjaran Aji is an environmental lawyer from Indonesia who believes that climate litigation is pivotal in defending the future of humanity. Sekar now works as a Forest Campaigner for Greenpeace Indonesia and serves as the Coordinator of the Public Interest Lawyer Network (PIL-Net) Indonesia for the 2023-2026 period. She has been involved in legal efforts to protect forests in Papua. One of her iconic campaigns includes defending the Auyu People, an indigenous tribe from the southern part of the region, which went viral with the hashtag #AllEyesOnPapua. Now, Sekar, with Solidaritas Merauke Advocacy Team, fights to halt the biggest deforestation plan in The World, which is placed at Southtern part of Papua by the National Strategic Plan of the Indonesian Govt.
